I’m often asked when the city is at its most magical. And while dawn has its quiet beauty, there’s something truly unforgettable about a golden sunset over the rooftops of Florence.
This session took place on a private terrace with a spectacular 360-degree view of the city. With the sun dipping low, Florence glowed in soft amber light – the Duomo bathed in warmth, the distant hills turning a velvety gold. My muse for the evening was a stunning woman in a flowing green dress that caught the breeze just perfectly. The way the fabric moved in the light made each image feel like a frame from a timeless film.

As we began, she poured a glass of local wine and simply took a moment to enjoy the view. This pause wasn’t posed – it was real. And I believe that’s what made the resulting photographs so genuine. She smiled softly, sipped slowly, and let the city’s golden light envelop her.

After capturing the magic on the terrace, we wandered to the iconic Ponte Vecchio. The sky behind the bridge was painted in hues of pink, peach, and soft lavender. The river mirrored the fading light, and the atmosphere was dreamlike. We shot a few spontaneous frames there – laughter, movement, and the kind of fleeting beauty you can only catch when you’re truly present.
Throughout the session, the light, the mood, and the elegance of Florence aligned in perfect harmony. The green of her dress stood out beautifully against the golden backdrop, while her relaxed energy brought such warmth and authenticity to each photograph.
Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just about capturing a face – it’s about preserving a feeling, a memory, a fleeting moment of beauty. And in Florence, those moments are endless.
If you’re dreaming of a golden-hour photoshoot in Florence, filled with elegance, color, and a touch of Italian magic, I’d be honored to tell your story through my lens.
